Written by: Yariv Dan Law Office
All companies in Israel must register with The Registrar of Companies and the Tax Authorities.
In order to register an Israeli Company (contrary to an "Israeli Foreign company" or an "Israeli Singly Owned Comapny" with the Registrar of Companies the following documents must be submitted:
1. Form No.1 of the Company Registrar - an application form (a request) to register a company.
2. Articles of Association, which establishes the corporate identity, principal objectives of the company, shareholders' responsibilities and the rules of conduct for the company.
3. A Registerion fee of NIS 2,491 (as of October 2011).
An Israeli lawyer is required to prepare and verify the company's registration documents.
The registration procedure usually takes 2 business days (if filed with a legal currier) or up to 7 business days (otherwise). After the registration is complete, the Israeli Companies Registrar will issue a certificate of incorporation and a company number (of 9 digits). After the incorporation is complete the company will need a local tax representative (an accountant) to register the company with the tax authorities and prepare annual tax reports.
